Malaysia Airlines Pilot Recruitment - Direct Entry Captains ( Open to Non Malaysians)


Commander in relation to an aircraft operation, means a person who at a stipulated time, is in charge of the piloting of the aircraft without being under the direction of any other pilot in the same aircraft.  He is assigned by the Company to ensure all safety matters are managed during all phases of flight.

Key Accountability 

The Commander is responsible for the safety of all crew members, passengers and/or cargo onboard the aircraft when the doors are closed.He is also responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft from the moment the aircraft is ready to move for the purpose of taking off until the moment it finally comes to rest at the end of the flight and the engines are shut down. 

Ensure compliance for all operational procedures & checklists depicted in the Operations Manual. In an emergency situation requiring immediate & decisive action, may take measures he considers necessary under the circumstances, to ensure the safety of the aircraft and its occupants & cargo. 

Working Experience ( Widebody )

Hold an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
a. 6,000 Grand Total hours
b. 2,000 hours Command experience on a commercial jet aircraft with MTOW greater than 50 tonnes
c. 500 hours Command experience on type
d. Type rated Airbus :A320/A330/A340/A350/A380
e. Must apply before 56th birthday



Narrowbody

a. Hold an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) 

b. 5,500 Grand total hours
c. 1,500 hours Command experience on a commercial jet aircraft.
d. 500 hours Command experience on type.
e. Type rated on B737 300 – 900
f. Must apply before 56th birthday.



Skill & Knowledge

Knowledge of regulatory requirement, company’s policy and other airlines standard. 
Sound flying skills with knowledge of operations disciplines, specialised technical knowledge of current fleets in the system.
Well verse in airline safety management concept, appreciation and working knowledge of accident prevention concepts and methods.
Strong in interpersonal and communications skills, good analytical skill, and good at issue engagements.

1. Elevate and maintain high technical operations ensuring high industrial safety and standard.
2. Managing changes to suit dynamic scenarios.
3. Managing technical operations requirements and expectations due to internal constraints of resources whilst to reduce operational infringements and incidents

The Co-pilot is the Commander’s deputy and is a member of the flight crew acting in piloting capacity, other than Commander.

Key Accountability

2. Responsible in ensuring the flight is conducted with adherence to any rules and regulations that effect the operations of the flight.

Working Experience ( Narrow Body )

a. 1,500 Grand Total hours;
b. 500 hours experience on type.
c. Type rated on B737 300 – 900

Widebody

a. 1,500 Grand Total hours;

c. Type rated on A320/A330/A340/A350/A380.

Skill & Knowledge

1. Meets the regulatory requirements for Theoretical Knowledge of operating an aircraft. This includes basic aviation subjects and aircraft type technical subjects.
2. Meet the regulatory requirements for Technical and Non-technical skills of piloting an aircraft and use of its equipment.
3. Meet the regulatory requirements for Resource Management, Human Factor and Safety Management in aviation.
4. Strong in interpersonal and communications skills, good analytical skill, good at issue engagements and good decision making skills.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Open to all Nationalities
  • Minimum GCE 'A' Level, Polytechnic Diploma or Degree. In addition, you must demonstrate proficiency in English, Mathematics and Science, preferably Physics (with at least credits in GCE 'O' levels or its equivalent)
  • For candidates without credits in English at GCE ‘O’ Levels or its equivalent, you must produce additional proof of English proficiency:

TRAINING

Full board and lodging will be provided. Upon obtaining the ATPL or MPL, you will undergo further training to become a First Officer.


SELECTION PROCESS

All interviews will be held in Singapore. Applicants undergo five stages comprising online application, preliminary interview, aptitude test, final interview with senior management as well as a medical check-up.

Hong Kong Express - Supervisor, Cabin Crew Performance

Main Purpose of jobs and responsibilities:
  • Participate in inflight services management flying duty;
  • Monitor crew performance through inflight assessment (appraisal), passenger’s feedback and surveys;
  • Organize and coordinate cabin crew annual appraisal;
  • Arrange cabin crew probation and promotion interview schedule;
  • Review performance to identify areas for improvement;
  • Ensure effective communication between cabin crew and inflight services;
  • Assist in organizing crew functions and meetings;
  • Evaluation and performance of trainees;
  • Provide any ad-hoc support services as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in aviation industry preferably with supervisory role with 2 years of flying experience;

  • Good command of spoken and written English. Proficiency in Chinese and an additional language is an advantage;
  • Proficient in computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Successful candidates must be able to commence employment with us within six months from the date of application.

Training

Our comprehensive 4 months training program will cover topics such as:
* Product Knowledge including Food & Beverage
* Service Procedures
* Passenger Handling
* Deportment & Grooming
* Language & Communication Skills
* Safety Equipment Procedures
* First Aid
On successful completion of training you will commence flying duties.

Remuneration & Service Benefits

You will be paid a basic salary during training. Upon graduation, you can look forward to a basic salary and various allowances amounting to about SGD$4,500 - 5000  a month. In addition, there is an annual wage supplement of one month’s basic salary and profit-sharing bonus. You will also be entitled to free travel to any SIA destination once a year and enjoy discounted travel at other times.
