Qantas is experiencing post COVID 19 demand and as a result are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified pilots who have a geniune desire to join Australia's national carrier. As a Qantas pilot, we’re serious about looking after our customers. Our pilots are the face of our airline, and represent experience, safety and comfort for everyone who flies with us. Working together, we never underestimate the positive impact we can have to make travel memorable for our customers.
To be eligible for consideration you must meet the following requirements:
- An Australian ATPL (Aeroplane/Helicopter), or Australian CPL with all ATPL subjects
- 500 hours in Command of a powered fixed wing aeroplane (excluding ICUS); or
- 300 hours in Command of a multi engine aeroplane (excluding ICUS); or
- 250 hours in Command of a powered fixed wing aeroplane and 1000 hours as Co-Pilot of a multi crew, multi engine turbine aeroplane (excluding ICUS); or
- 250 hours of flight time in a powered fixed wing aeroplane as pilot in command, or pilot in command under supervision (of which 70 hours must be as pilot in command), and 1500 hours as Co-Pilot of a multi crew turbine aeroplane; or
- 250 Hours in Command of a powered fixed wing aeroplane and 500 hours in Command of rotary wing aircraft (excluding ICUS)
- A Part 61 Multi Engine Aeroplane Class Instrument Rating (excluding a private instrument rating)
- Endorsements for IAP 2D and IAP 3D on Australian (civil) instrument rating
- A current instrument proficiency check (MEA)
- Australian citizenship or hold Australian permanent residency status
- A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call with at least 12 months validity
- A current CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate (or be eligible to hold one )
- English Level 6 proficiency
Preference will be given to candidates that meet or exceed the following experience levels:
- 2000 hours Total Time
- 500 hours Multi-Engine
- Multi- Crew Experience
- Have airline Jet experience (or military equivalent)
Please note: Under the Qantas Group COVID-19 Vaccination Policy all Australia-based new employees of a Qantas Group entity must be fully vaccinated with an Approved COVID-19 Vaccine and provide Evidence of Vaccination by uploading your Digital Vaccination Certificate to Workday (our HR information system).
