Duties and responsibilities 

  • The type rated Engineers will plan, performed, supervise, inspect and certify their allocated tasks as and when involved.
  • The TREs will be positioned mainly in the DAC base but for the operational requirement of the company, they may have to travel/ stay at outstations based on USBA requirement.
  • TREs will performed all scheduled and un-schedule maintenance as required and for the trouble shooting and defect rectification as applicable.
  • For the purpose of technology transfer, the foreign TREs may conduct On job training for local Bangladeshi basic licensed and qualified Technical personnel.
  • For the regularity audit of the Aircraft and documents, the TREs will attend to reply to the auditor's quarry.
  • The foreign TREs will require to do the job like towing the Airplane, all type of servicing tasks, mooring, jacking lifting etc., with active assistance from local engineering personnel.
  • The TREs will follow all applicable instruction of the USBA management and CAAB advice.
  • The TREs will devote all of his duty time with proper attention, and skill to the task engagement and will not directly or indirectly be engaged in any other business or employment during the contractual period without the prior consent of USBA authority.
  • The duty timing period of the TREs will be as per Bangladesh government rule ensuring international regulation.
  • He may be appointed with an extra-management post to do along with his reqular duties.
  • As an employee , all Type Rated Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to follow the US-Bangla Airlines administrative policies.
  • US-Bangla Airlines is a CAAB approved Part 145 AMO , as such the approved MOE, Bangladesh CAR '84, ANOs are the required documents under which the TREs to perform their duty with applicable legislation, regulation and safety rules.
  • For keeping their personal AME license valid, all Engineer will be remained updated with attending mandatory training courses and currency of experience.

Key Result Responsibilities

Conduct:

  • Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness and legality of self for the assigned flights. Attends “Briefing” to ensure acknowledgement of flight details, distribution of roles, targets, security checks, boarding, etc.

Safety Measures:

  • Instructs passengers on safety procedures to be followed ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Identifies areas of safety and security risks and partners with the Cabin Supervisor to take remedial action in accordance with the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Administers first aid to passengers where necessary.
  • Informs Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew and Captain, as appropriate, with any irregularities and malfunctions promptly. 

Customer Service:

  • Welcomes passengers and assists in their boarding formalities; enters necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
  • Provides constant excellent customer services to passengers by attending to their individual pre-bookings, requests and needs.
  • Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties in accordance with the corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
  • Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and “Charity Cloud” program by efficiently promoting the on-board meals, products and charity services and thereby achieves individual and team targets.
  •  Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received against individual sales and donations managed by him/her.

Crosschecking and Reports:

  • Carries out pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment and other specified equipment prior to take off; provides report for any deficiencies to Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
  • Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is cleaned thoroughly at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty free products are provided before flying.
  • Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning and/or maintenance staff.
  • Carries out the post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures: provides objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reports any problems or discrepancies on flight, closing and sealing of duty free containers.
  • Accounts to Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers; carries out the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated as such by the Captain.
  • Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops and by ensuring current license.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/ Tourism is a plus.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety and Emergency Procedures are an added value.
  • Fit to fly, has good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Presentable, friendly, demonstrates cheerful and positive attitude even under stress.
  • Customer service oriented, capable of understanding and attending to customers’ needs and requests.
  • Capable of handling difficult situations and angry customers without compromising corporate image.
  • Focused, capable of identifying irregularities and handling threats and emergencies with efficiency and commitment to successful results.

Malaysia Airlines Engineering Training:

Established in 1972, Engineering Training was initially called Technical Training Department. It was assigned the primary role of ensuring that the Engineering and Maintenance Division is supported in maintaining an adequate number of suitably qualified personnel for operating and maintaining aircraft in compliance with the Department of Civil Aviation, Malaysia and Aviation Authorities such as FAA and EASA.​

Chief Flying Instructor (Lanmei Training Center)

Role and Responsibilities                                                                                              

Chief Flight Instructor will work directly for the ATO Head of Training and will be responsible for MPL student pilot training. Instruct classes for aircraft Systems and Operational Procedures in the aircraft, classroom, or practical environments as required.  Duty as Subject Matter Expert in development of curriculum for new type courses as required.  Providing additional special services such as courseware review and other additional administrative duties such as publications, safety, quality audits, scheduling.  The CFI will ensure a safe and secure work environment is maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform duties as Instructor Pilot and conduct training development as required.

Interface with appropriate members of the program, customer, and Lanmei Airlines' staff to proactively identify and address quality assurance issues and ensure that all quality requirements are met.

Interface with various departments, management, and staff to identify and execute process improvement opportunities.

Conduct business in strict compliance with all corporate policies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 3000 hours airplane pilot time with a minimum of 1500 hours of flight instructor time
  • Commercial Single Engine Land (SEL) Pilot’s License
  • Certified Flight Instructor Rating (CFI) including Instrument Airplane (CFII)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class I Flight Medical Certificate.
  • Valid CPL or ATPL, single engine airplane, Instrument rating and Certificated Flight Instructor ratings in all these categories or able to obtain such by the hire date.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred      
  • Experienced in MPL student training/testing is preferred  
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
  • Must be able to effectively deliver oral presentations to management and customers.

The job holder will responsible for the regulatory compliance applicable to operation, maintenance and modification of Flying Training Devices (FTDs). He/ She will be responsible for the evaluation, specification, design, development, engineering, maintenance, and rectification of simulators and other training equipment. He/ She will supervise the supply of simulator and ground training services of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited to Flight Crew and Engineering Personnel in a competitive and cost effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to ensure effective and efficient utilisation of flight training devices and simulators
  • Manage the development and implementation of Simulator Engineering policies and functions to comply with AOC requirements and Company fleet specific
  • Operations Manuals
  • Formulate quality and section policies, approving plans and ensuring their implementation to attain safe, economical and effective:
  • Utilisation of full flight simulators and flight training devices
  • Recruitment, training and utilisation of Simulator Engineering staff
  • Section development and manpower planning to meet future change
  • Departmental communication, both internal and external
  • Selection of new simulators and training equipment
  • Manage the relationship with external third party simulator training providers ensuring maximum financial benefit for the Company
  • Ensure that all personnel matters are administered as per Company policy
  • Control Company simulator contracts in relation to:
  • Simulator and training device purchase, upgrades, modifications or replacements
  • Third party sales with the objective of optimising revenue and utilising spare training capacity
  • Ensure simulator approvals and fidelity meet AOC requirements and HKCAD requirements in liaison with Head of Flying Training
  • Chair the Simulator Change and Addition Request (SCAR) committee meetings
  • Provide cost-benefit analysis ensuring third party simulators likely to be used by Cathay Pacific (CX) meet Company requirements and are certified by HKCAD and relevant "Authority to Test" approvals have been applied for and provided by HKCAD
  • Ensure the preparation of the Simulator Engineering budget and exercising control of expenditure
  • Maintain a system of quality management will ensure compliance and conformity with the Air Operators' Certificate and other appropriate legislation. Reviewing of QA findings, corrective and preventative actions/trends affecting simulator training
  • Ensure Chief Pilot Training is appraised of issues relevant to the simulator training section
  • Administer and develop the Simulator Engineering Section into a more efficient and marketable product for CX and external customers
  • Hold responsibility for maintaining the high standard of reliability, serviceability and fidelity of CX and external customers’ simulators and training equipment
  • Work closely with CPs, HOFT, TDSM, STMs, external customers and simulator manufacturers to obtain and uphold the highest possible level of qualification for each training device from the HKCAD and other regulatory authorities as appropriate
  • Assist Flight Operations (FOP) senior management in planning and developing CX’s simulator and training capabilities by evaluating projects and making recommendations on technical matters
  • Develop business related to simulator engineering and maintenance with external customers, and be responsible for the execution of maintenance contracts to the customer’s satisfaction
  • Manage and motivate staff to achieve section objectives through appraisal, counselling, and recommendation of promotions, demotions, and dismissals to General Manager Operation (GMO)
  • Work closely with APD, GMF, CPs, HOFT, MFT, STMs and TTM on the specification, evaluation, purchase, design and acceptance of new or updated training equipment for both CX and external customers if applicable

Requirements

  • MBA or similar suitable business/management formal education.
  • Minimum 15 years’ aviation-related experience in technical management or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong commercial and cost awareness and customer service mind-set.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Regulatory environment and requirements pertinent to the operation of Flight Training Devices, both locally and internationally.
  • Thorough knowledge of the technologies and equipment design methodologies employed in flight training device manufacture and operation.
  • Close familiarity with major training device manufacturers and suppliers industry, their practices, advantages and shortcomings of their organisations.
  • Proven record of performance in aviation-relevant technical project and team management.

Overall Role Purpose

Specific Role Context

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the pilots in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.

Essential

  • Work experience as a Cabin Attendant, holding currency in SEP

An A320 operator base in Asia would like to invite suitable candidates for the position of A320 First Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to clock up to 200, 500 or 800 hours on the A320.

Currently you can chose to do either : -

1) 200 hours line training on the A320

1) 500 hours line training on the A320

1) 800 hours line training on the A320

Requirements  : -

• Hold a Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating

Program Outline

Phase 1: Ground Training

-Stand-up instruction on performance, weight and balance
-Standard operating procedure training
-Written theoretical knowledge examination including results and evaluation

Phase 2: Simulator Training

- 1 LOFT session
- 1 crew skills test session per crew
- 1 preliminary simulator circuit training of 1 hour per trainee

Phase 3: Base/ZFT* and Line Training

- Pilot without meeting the requirement of ZFT training will require to undergo 6 take-offs and landings on a flight training
- Start of Line Training
