Job Description

Flying the left-hand seat of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, you will be the Commander who conducts yourself to the highest personal and professional standards at all times. Behind the controls, your focus is on delivering a safe, comfortable and on-time performance. As a leader and a team player, you set the example and help members of the Scoot team deliver the Scootitude experience to all passengers.

Requirements

  • Legally entitled to work in Singapore
  • A Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore issued ICAO ATPL (foreign ATPL will be required to undergo licence conversion which requires an instrument rating and a proficiency check that has a minimum of 6 months' validity.) 
  • Be B787 type rated, training and type conversions is to be co-funded between employee and the company
  • Minimum 5000 commercial jet flight hours with an airline of which a minimum 2000 hours are Pilot-In-Command hours  on a civil registered transport aircraft certificated for multi-crew operations with MTOW greater than 50,000kg
  • A Class 1 unrestricted medical approved by the Civil Aviation Medical Board (CAMB)
  • Demonstrate the ability to speak and understand English with a minimum of ICAO level 5.

  • The ability to demonstrate sound written and verbal communication skills to effectively follow or implement safety instructions
  • Previous experience in the Airline Industry or with stable customer service experience
  • Current First Aid Certificate completed within the last 12 months (or be willing to obtain at short notice and own cost) Must include CPR accreditation 
  • An excellent level of health and fitness, including the ability to swim 50 metres fully clothed and tread water for 3 minutes unassisted. (Water assessment will need to be completed prior to start of training.)

CAMBODIA AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER LICENCE TRAINING PROGRAM

This training program is designed to provide the attendees with full basic knowledge for category B license in accordance with Cambodia State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) Regulations. The course includes both theoretical and practical training to meet the qualification standards of SSCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL).

The training program last for 2.5 year full time, intensive traineeship towards preparation for the grant of the SSCA Part-66 Category B1 – Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s license. The program encompasses 2,400 hours of theoretical and basic skills training, SSCA approved Examinations, On-the-Job Training (OJT) on operational aircraft and Assessments. 2.5 years in all, including classroom training, practical workshop training and on-job-training in real maintenance operational environment of SSCA approved Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO).

At the completion of this training program, the attendee is able to become a qualified aircraft technician initially with any airlines/ aviation operator in Cambodia region and thereafter requires to collect work experience of 2 years from his CAP741 logbook for submission to the SSCA to be granted with a B1.1 aircraft maintenance engineers license which qualifies him to become a certifying license aircraft engineer with relevant aircraft type training

Category B1.1 (Aeroplanes Turbine)

A B1.1 Category license enables the engineer to work and issue CRS on jet engines and aircraft systems such as electrical, flight controls, hydraulics and pressurization.

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Minimum higher secondary (or equivalent) with Credit for English, Maths and Science
  • OR

Typical duties of our Skye Attendants: 


  • Maintain familiarity with agreed aviation practices and procedures
  • Maintain familiarity with such provisions of the Company Operations Manual as are necessary to fulfil his function.
  • To maintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the company; and thereby to support the crewmembers, by active example, in the development and maintenance of a high standard of professional expertise and morale amongst the crew
  • Proper execution of their duties related to the safety of the aeroplane and its occupants
  • Proper execution of their duties specified in the instructions and procedures laid down in the respective Operations Manual.
  • Assist the Commander as requested, concerning administrative duties in relation to the flight
  • To carry out such duties concerning the flight, in accordance with the Operations Manual, including procedures, limitations and performance relating to the specific aeroplane type, as are allocated to him by the Commander
  • To volunteer such advice, information and assistance to the Commander, as may contribute favourably towards the safe and efficient conduct of the flight
  • To seek and receive such information and/or explanation from the Commander, as may be necessary to enable the crewmember to fulfil his function
  • Ensures the passengers safely escape in an emergency evacuation
  • Responsible to the Commander for the conduct and co-ordination of normal cabin safety and emergency procedure(s) specified in the Operations Manual
  • Responsible to verify on regular intervals that all foods in the aeroplane are consumable and have not passed the expiration date.
  • Co-ordinates, organises and undertakes non-safety related service tasks in the cabin.
  • Visiting the flight crew on regular intervals and provide them with foods.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned to the position holder
