Cabin Crew Manager - Jetstar Asia ( Based in Singapore )


Jetstar Asia is looking for an experienced and self-motivating individual to perform the role of Manager, Cabin Crew in our Customer Service Department. Reporting to the Head of Cabin Crew & Customer Experience, this person will be responsible to provide leadership management in all aspect of Customer Service Department. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Head of Cabin Crew & Customer Experience in the day-to-day running of the Customer Service department. He/She will act as the 2nd in charge in the absence of the department head. - Coordinate with rostering on crew rostering patterns to maximize operational efficiency, manage crew recruitment with People team to achieve timely injection of crew to meet manning requirements. Enhance productivity of the department by driving a positive culture, improve quality of crew and reduce cabin crew attrition. - Lead team members to achieve departmental business objectives and metrics of performance such as punctuality, absenteeism, customer service engagement and experience, NPS target, OTP target set by Group, injury management, sales and shrinkage management. Facilitate process improvement to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the Department. - Manage crew performance management to ensure service delivery, objectives and targets are met. Accountable for the overall management and performance of team of Star Development Managers (SDMs) and Cabin Crew (all grades) through effective application of corporate/department policies and procedures and relevant legislation. Build talent growth, identity and groom successors for key positions in the department. - Improve work place processes to detect and rectify safety hazards. Supervise internal audit team to ensure regulatory, group and IOSA audit compliance requirements are met. Promote timely reporting of safety concerns & ensure timely closure of issues to prevent escalation. Reduce the number of AOCR violation and high severity accidents attributable to cabin crew. - Assist Crisis Chair in the development and review of the Crisis Management Plan and lead the Special Assistance Team (SAT) in the event of a major crisis activation to manage the next-of-kin and coordinate with government agencies to mobilize support resources and be deployed as Face of the Airline. - Work with other internal/external stakeholders to include Ground Operations, Commercial, Flight Operations, Safety & Security and Corporate Communications teams to improve operational KPIs. Responsible for operations decisions for cabin crew during disruptions and irregular operations and drive operational performance to consistently exceed thresholds. REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum GCE 'A' Level/STPM, Polytechnic Diploma or Degree. In addition, you must demonstrate proficiency in English, Mathematics and Science, preferably Physics (with at least credits in GCE 'O' levels/SPM)
  • For candidates without credits in English at GCE ‘O’ Levels/SPM, you must produce additional proof of English proficiency:
    o IELTS – Minimum Band 7 (out of 9); or

TRAINING

Successful candidates will be trained to acquire either an Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL) with Instrument Rating (IR) or a Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) at Pilot Training Schools in Singapore and overseas. Full board and lodging will be provided. Upon obtaining the ATPL or MPL, you will undergo further training to become a First Officer.


SELECTION PROCESS

Preliminary interviews are held in Malaysia and subsequent interviews will be held in Singapore. Applicants undergo five stages comprising online application, preliminary interview, aptitude test, final interview with senior management as well as a medical check-up.

Employment Contract Duration

Any newly recruited Cabin Crew will have a Definite contract for a period of Two years and will be subject to renewal based on their individual performance and behavior towards their duties and responsibilities as Cabin crew for a period of One year.

Retirement Age

The maximum age for retirement is upon attaining the 38th birthday for a Cabin Crew and upon attaining their 40th birthday for the Inflight Services Manager “IFSM”, which will be a cut-off date of service with Royal Jet.

Job Purpose

To deliver a high standard of customer service and safety on board all Royal Jet aircrafts contributing to consistent service excellence. To perform well under pressure, successfully prioritize and complete multiple tasks whilst at the same time meeting customer demands.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide a safe environment for Guests and Cabin Crew onboard through safe work practice and adequate SEP knowledge

2. To be contactable during duty days and display evident of satisfactory attendance record in order to avoid disruption to flight operations.

3. When requested by the Company to operate short notification flights.

4. Perform onboard service in accordance to Royal Jet service process and standards, to maintain the highest level of Customer Service

5. Maintain onboard equipment’s in terms of quality and quantity, particularly when the aircraft is away from base, in order to reduce costs associated with breakages and losses

6. Understand anticipate and deliver the highest level of service to all Guests by availing all their requests in a timely manner and maintaining integrity, confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

7. Maintain valid passport, visas, GCAA License and Medical licenses.

8. May be required to take on supervisory responsibilities as required by the company.

9. Represent the Company during events with Cabin Crew.

10. Understands the value of exceptional customer service, safety and aspects of life as a Cabin Crew member in a non-scheduled operation.

11. The ability to work under pressure and to be flexible, and understand the company complex operational requirements.

12. Displays confidence and immaculate decorum adheres to the Royal Jet Grooming Standards at all times when on duty.

13. Ability to accommodate changes in roster and extended flight duties.
