FlyAfrica - Pilot Recruitment ( B737 Captain & First Officer - Low hour accepted )

Pilot in Command (Captain)

 To be employed as a commander by flyafrica the pilot shall  fulfil as a minimum:


  • Current ATPL, endorsed the type of aircraft to be flown or validation acceptable to the authority 
  • Minimum age of 28 years 
  • Hold a valid class 1 medical acceptable to the authority 
  • Minimum experience level of 5000 h total, 1000 h in command on type 
  • Attestation of ICAO proficiency level 4 or better for English language. (If not documented in licence). 
  • Demonstration of proficiency English level 4 as a minimum 
  • Security background check including alcohol and drug test. 
  • Private PC / Laptop and private internet access with email account 
  • Valid type rating as commander (PIC) 
  • Valid Instrument rating 
  • Valid radio licence (if not included in ATPL Licence)
  • Valid recurrent checks

Second in Command (First Officer)

 
To be employed as second in command by flyafrica the pilot  shall fulfil as a  minimum: 


  • CPL or ATPL or a current validation acceptable to the authority
  • Minimum experience level of 1000 h total of which 250 h on type, less than 1000 h / 250 h may be accepted provided the practical test in simulator was successful. 
  • Minimum age of 21 years 
  • Hold a valid class 1 medical acceptable to the authority 
  • Licence and Medical verification from respective issuing authority 
  • Attestation of ICAO proficiency level 4 or better for English language. (If not documented in licence). 
  • Demonstration of proficiency English level 4 as a minimum 
  • Security background check including alcohol and drug test. 
  • Private PC / Laptop and private internet access with email accou
  • Valid Instrument rating 
  • Valid radio licence (if not included in CPL / ATPL Licence) 
  • Valid recurrent checks

Regulatory or Company Mandatory Requirements. Recruitment coincides directly to our approved training program facilitated by Lufthansa. The training programme is designed for experienced crew, but can be modified for additional training needs within reason.


  • Experienced Crew: Training Required: Candidates must qualify for our ‘Operation Conversion Course’. To qualify: you must be current in your license on B737 Aircraft series type rated, current on all other mandatory modules: Aviation Medicine, Dangerous Goods, Firefighting, Ditching, Slide-Jump, and EPT. You must have flown in the last six months. If you were not qualified on B737-300, we will supply the differences training. If you were not qualified on the B737 series aircraft at all, then you must get yourself type rated on your own for the B737 series aircraft.

*Note* you will maintain your licensing throughout your employment.
