To support SVP - In-Flight Services in the day to day operation of the IFS Department. To be a leader and a role model responsible to manage Cabin Crew in achieving a safe and secure working environment on board and deliver excellent customer service to our passengers
The Cabin Crew Manager is also responsible for driving performance and must be passionate about flydubai being the best low cost airline in the region.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Activities
1. Ensure compliance with company policy/ procedures in accordance with the flydubai Cabin Safety Procedures Manual, Cabin Standards Manual, In-Flight Procedures Manual and other flydubai operational manuals
2. Make recommendations to enhance company policy and procedures through the correct working groups i.e. Safety Action Group
3. Support and promote a culture of safety and security within the In-Flight Services Department
4. Assist with the amendment and content of the flydubai Cabin Safety Procedures Manual and other In-Flight Manuals to meet current applicable regulatory authority requirements
5. Constantly driving towards improving OTP, managing sickness and attendance levels down and maintaining crew numbers
6. Manage Cabin Crew team including their conduct, standards, development, numbers, qualification and overall performance including disciplinary, appeals , grievance procedure and provide leadership
7. Coach and develop the Cabin Crew to ensure they reach their full potential
8. Highlight and develop opportunities to achieve efficient and effective work practices on board whilst continuously striving towards higher standards
9. Ensure that all costs are kept within budget
10. Ensure sales targets are met/exceeded amongst the Cabin Crew
11. Staff selection and development of Cabin Crew (ground and on board)
12. Promote an atmosphere where motivational and developmental feedback is given on a day to day basis
13. Deputize for the Head of In-flight Services in their absence
14. To be on-call when required
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Minimum Qualification
• University degree or equivalent
Experience
• Ideally 5 years’ experience at managerial level – preferably within the airline industry or customer service industry
• Must be familiar with Cabin operations manuals, procedures, Crew resource management
• Previous experience as Senior Cabin Crew is required
Knowledge / Skills
• Excellent PC skills, particularly with MS Office software
Certificate / License required
• All required Cabin Crew License and documents
Additional Requirements
• Previous experience as Senior Cabin Crew is required
• Proven ability to work on own initiative as well as work within a team
• Proven ability to successfully lead a team of people
• Low cost carrier experience desirable but not essential
