Cadet Pilot - Royal Brunei Airline

Welcome to RB Wings

"RB Wings" is an exciting opportunity for tomorrow's airline pilots to join Brunei's flag carrier - Royal Brunei .  This government-funded airline pilot career development programme offers successful applicants a unique opportunity to complete full time, integrated basic and intermediate training at CTC's Crew Training Centres in the United Kingdom and New Zealand, before moving on to complete the A320 'Type Rating' training with Royal Brunei and 'flying the line' with Royal Brunei .

So you want to be a pilot for Royal Brunei?

CTC Aviation's approach to pilot training is very specialist - we adopt airline principles and disciplines from day one.  We call this 'Vertical Integration' (VI) which simply means that throughout your training we remain focused on your end goal; to become a pilot for Royal Brunei .  Our instructors are highly qualified and our resources are chosen specifically for the task in hand.  You will start to think like an airline pilot from the minute you put on your CTC Aviation uniform (if not before) and our team will help you develop those skills throughout your progress through the course.

"RB Wings" offers a full-time, integrated programme for tomorrow's Royal Brunei pilots.  You will start your airline pilot training with CTC Aviation and we will fully prepare you for your A320 Type Rating which will be arranged by Royal Brunei.  At CTC Aviation we are incredibly proud of the results achieved by our trainees through both their ground school exams and their flight training licence skills tests.

These are achieved through a combination of rigorous selection ensuring we choose the right candidates in the first place; quality instructors who share their knowledge and help you learn to retain knowledge for life rather than simply to pass your exams; providing the most modern, task-specific training equipment to develop and hone your skills; and hard work, commitment and determination on your part!

Your training will take place at CTC Aviation's Crew Training Centres in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.  On successful completion of your training with us we will pass you into the care of Royal Brunei to undertake your Airbus A320 Type Rating training and start flying the line as a qualified A320 First Officer.

Funding Required

This is a fully sponsored "first time pass" programme funded by the government of His Majesty, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam under the Ministry of Education, Scholarship Section.
Every 'RB Wings' Cadet is expected to demonstrate and maintain a very high level of self-motivation and commitment to training.  This will normally be rewarded with the highest possible standards and results.  Where results have not met expectations and examination re-takes are required, Royal Brunei will review the  results and circumstances on a 'case by case' basis and decide if continuation will be permitted.  This will have financial costs to both Royal Brunei and the cadet.  Details will be fully explained to successful cadets prior to their acceptance of the offer.
